I say this jokingly but I really do prefer to shop online. It's something about getting the packages in the mail. Although I'm trying really hard to save money from Korea, I feel that one year in Korea only suppressed my urge to go through websites like Amazon and Zappos and make purchases I will later regret. So far I've been pretty good, my list of purchases included a new phone and plan, a new hard drive and battery for my old laptop, and taking care of a old bill from Sprint. However, unnecessary purchasing is slowly eating away at me and coupled with boredom it's much worst. I find myself looking at new Nike shoes and the Kindle. But I ask myself do I really need them.
The reasons for are:
- the new shoes will give my a boost in my motavation to start running again
- the Nike+ software will make it easier to track my progress
- I actually don't own any proper "working out" shoes
- the Kindle has been on my list for a while
- the price drop to $139 is amazing
- I love to read
- I need to stop depending on purchases to motivate me to do things
- I really need to save the money
- I'm not sure if I read enough to purchase the Kindle, I go through phases every few months where I read a lot of books with a 2 to 3 week frame
I'm giving myself the weekend to think over the purchases. In the meantime I'm going to work on getting my study material together and start hitting the books with my Farsi studies and continue my job hunt. Hopefully I'll stop being lazy and hit the gym also.

1 ramblings:
I don't have the kindle but I do have the Nook. I will bring it tomorrow so that you can play with it!
