I read a facebook comment of someone I know and they were saying how they needed to find a way to vent. I was tempted to write that you should start a blog. I may even go back later and recommend it to here.
I love to blog, just to vent, share good news, recommend food, travel, etc. to people, but the main reason is because it connects me with people in similar situations. I love going through my blog roll list and checking out other African American, Jamaican, Canadian (women of color in general) who are out and about in the world. I love to hear about travel, every aspect of it. When I'm back in the states my tv is constantly on Discovery or the Travel Channel. But it's hard to relate to people who travel on a popular networks budget. They have everything laid out for them, people who book all their travel, tell them where to go, translate for them, and on top of that pay for everything. I would love to see a show about someone (prefeably female...far too many male domainted shows) who travels around with your own camera and does things for themself. But anyway...off topic.
So why do you blog?
Also, is there anyone else out there who writes a blog just to vent but never post them? I do it all the time, I usually delete them after a few sentences. I do this because sometimes my vent is about a particular person and I just need to see my thoughts "written" down to return to a more rational person.
I noticed I get quite a few page views, so I would like to hear maybe just a hello from (insert country) and what you think of my blog...or just a hello. Bloggers do appreciate comments from people who took the time out to read our thoughts via web.

3 ramblings:
I totally agree with you, blogging is great for connecting with people all over and venting. I hope you continue blogging even after returning to the states.
I blog because I like to try out new ideas and connect the dots. I started reading lots of women of colour expat blogs expecting to become one myself. I travel an awful lot but I still return home every few months or so, not sure if I'll ever pick up and live abroad.
I love to read other people's blogs because I like to learn about their experiences and to see how they think and connect their own dots.
hello :-)
