Ramadan...no, Ramazan...whatever....

Say today marks the first day of Ramadan (or Ramazan), I decided to join in because Matt will be celebrating Christmas and Easter with me (granted I don't really celebrate Easter...just a family dinner).  My co-workers are worried about me and keep asking if I'm hungry.  I keep telling them that I am allowed to eat, just between dusk and dawn...and trust me I can't wait for the sun to set.  I started on Monday because I knew I would have a few slip-ups the first few days...and I did.  All day I think about food.  I'm far to lazy to get up before dawn so I end up sipping on water until dusk.  I'm actually not suppose to drink anything but Matt says I'm allowed because I'm foreign.  So I'll keep you guys updated on my first Ramadan experience.

In other news my hard drive crashed.  It's the most upsetting sound in the world, the clicking of a hard drive.  Because then you know there is nothing you can do except replace it.  I know my updates to Windows 7 is what caused it.  So I'm waiting to return to the states so I can fix it.  But it gave me an excuse to buy a HP Mini 210.  So far I love it, and as we speak I am downloading Ubuntu, for those who don't know it's a few OP.  I was very upset at the fact that I would have to pay for another Windows 7 license to put it on a new computer and I was even more upset when I found I can only return it within 30 days :(  I've vowed not to never buy another windows operating system.  Also my next computer will be a Mac.  I can't deal with the problems of a Windows based computer anymore.  Before the computer crashed I got at least 7 blue screens of death.

I tried everything to repair it but it just kept crashing.  I will let you all know how Ubuntu goes and if the new netbook is doing.  Got to love gmarket in Korea, I ordered it on Tuesday and it was here by Wednesday, free shipping and all for under $300.

Good decsion to switch to Linux Ubuntu! There is a Ubuntu version called Ubuntu NBR, especially for netbooks.
For any problems just visit ubuntuforums.org a great community, and you will usually get your answer within a few minutes.
